Woodstock Activities for all seasons

Welcome to Woodstock!

Each season brings the excitement of many special events.

Autumn, the most famous season in Vermont, draws the most visitors to our area with our beautiful foliage, the Apple & Crafts Fair, Sculpture Fest, Green Mountain Horse Association Fall Foliage ride as well as hiking excursions and family outings to the Billings Farm and Museum.

Winter time skiing at Suicide Six and Killington Resort, snowshoeing, hockey, the Snow Sculpture Contest on The Green or taking in a youth hockey game (or the Boston Bruins vs. Woodstock Alumni) are just some of Woodstock’s winter activities. In December, the annual Wassail parade and weekend gets everyone in the holiday spirit

Spring is a season of rebirth in Woodstock with flowering blossoms on trees, tulip lined lawns, maple sugaring season, pancake breakfasts and pure maple syrup in our local restaurants. The local garden club and shop owners create a burst of color throughout the Village.

But summer is our favorite!  Check out the weekly Market on The Green, Thursdays Free Brown Bag Music Concerts, also on the Green. Hike the trails of Mt. Tom and Mt. Peg for the reward of a gorgeous view or head out to Barnard’s Silver Lake State Park for a refreshing swim followed by an ice cream at Barnard General Store. All these activities and so much more just minutes from any of our vacation rental homes. Ask us about some secret swimming holes or a favorite hike 🙂
